For the third consecutive year, the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (AmCham Bulgaria), in partnership with Technical University of Sofia, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, and the Faculty of Physics and Technology at Plovdiv University “Paisii Hilendarski”, is organizing the AmCham Hackathon—a unique opportunity for students to apply and expand their knowledge by working on real business cases with the support of established companies and industry mentors.
What can you expect?
• Work in teams on real business cases provided by leading companies
• Support from expert mentors who will guide you throughout the process
• Opportunities to collaborate with companies and academic experts
• Presentation of your solution before an expert jury and a chance to win valuable prizes
Key dates
• Registration deadline: 16 March 2026
• Official opening: 20 March 2026 at the Center of Excellence in Mechatronics and Clean Technologies, Technical University of Sofia
• Work on the cases: 4 weeks with mentor support
• Final presentations: 28–29 April 2026
• Final ceremony: 30 April 2026 at Technical University of Sofia

AmCham Hackathon 2026 is intended for 3rd- and 4th-year undergraduate students and master’s students from the following universities:
• Technical University of Sofia
• Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”
• Faculty of Physics and Technology at Plovdiv University “Paisii Hilendarski”
• University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Sofia – to be confirmed
