The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” had the pleasure to welcome representatives of International Balkan University in Skopje, North Macedonia on the 20th January, 2023. A Memorandum of understanding has been signed between the universities to create and furthermore support bilateral cooperation between the two institutions.

Prof. Dr. Violeta Madzova (Vice Rector of Education and Academic Affairs), Assist. Prof. Dr. U. Serdar Serdaroğlu (Vice Rector of International Cooperation, Research and Administration), Assist. Prof. Dr. Liza Alili Sulejmani (Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences), Assist. Prof. Elena Stanoevska and Mr Jean Stanoevski (International Foundation Balkan Net) met with Prof. Dr. Mariya Stoycheva (Vice Rector of International Relations), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev (Dean of The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration), Assoc. Prof. Marcellin Yovogan (Vice Dean of International Relations and University Partnerships, FEBA), Assoc. Prof. Todor Yalamov (Vice Dean of Research, Innovation and Projects, FEBA), Prof. Yodran Botev (visiting professor at FEBA), Assoc. Prof. Nikolay Netov (Head of Department of Statistics and Econometrics, FEBA) and Boryana Raynova (International Relations Officer, FEBA) discussed different topics concerning further development of collaboration, such as:

  • academic staff and student exchange;
  • joint education and research activities;
  • joint academic degree programs;
  • exchange of published academic materials;
  • joint organization of short-term education programs;
  • summer/winter schools;
  • special certification programs.

The two universities will cooperate in the areas of mutual interest as well as on education and research-oriented topics.
