Desislava I. Yordanova is a Professor at the Department of Business Administration of Sofia University “St Kliment Ohridski”. She obtained her Doctoral degree in Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Management from Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain) in 2009. Prof. Yordanova teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the fields of entrepreneurship and management. She has published monographs, book chapters and articles in various international journals including International Small Business Journal, Journal of Small Business Management, Journal of International Management, Sustainability, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour & Research, Journal of Developmental Entrepreneurship, International Journal of Management, Service Business, World Review of Entrepreneurship, Management and Sustainable Development, International Journal of Business and Globalisation, and Journal of Applied Economic Sciences.

Her research interests include entrepreneurship, small business management, and family business management and succession. She has received the Best Paper Award of the 10th Diana International Research Conference hosted by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. She is a member of the expert council of the University Center for Entrepreneurship and Project Management of Sofia University, European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurship Research and Education Network of Central European Universities (ERENET), and the virtual community that supports International Entrepreneurship research and education (ie-scholars.net).
