On July 20 and 21, the training “Good practices in the construction of photovoltaic plants” was held, jointly organized by the Association for Production, Storage and Trading of Electricity (APSTE), the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and Utilities magazine. The event was opened by the chairman of APSTE, Nikola Gazdov, and the dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Assoc. Dr. Atanas Georgiev. Lecturers in the training were Venelin Doichev and Kaloyan Velichkov (Managing Partners, Sunotec), Dimitar Tsekov (Technical Director, Renergy), Mariyana Yaneva (Policy Director, APSTE), Neli Radulova (Legal Counsel, hec solar) and Stefana Tsekova (Managing Partner Schoenherr). The training is part of the initiatives related to the master's program “Energy Markets and Services” at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
The course is based on SolarPower Europe's “Guide to Best Practices in the Design, Procurement and Construction of Photovoltaic Power Plants”, which APSTE translated, supplementing it with guidelines from the experience of Bulgarian companies – members of APSTE, both local and international markets.
The training generated exceptional interest, gathering more than 60 participants from the energy sector. They all received certificates for their participation from the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at the end of the second day.
Due to the great interest in the first edition, the organizers are planning the next one at the end of the summer.
