On Earth Day, April 22, a group of students from the Economics Faculty at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands visited the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and their colleagues from the “Economics and Management in Energy, Infrastructure and Utilities Sectors” program. The Dutch students and their lecturers - Prof. Jan Riezebos and eng. Hilbert Reijn, are visiting Bulgaria as part of their project "Circular Economy and its Sub-Processes: Product Design, Remanufacturing & Production, Distribution, Recycling & Waste Management , "Consumption & Use".

As part of their program they attended a guest lecture by Boyan Rashev, managing partner at denskstatt Bulgaria, on the topic of "Implementation of Circular Economy – Challenges, Risks and Opportunities”. The group was welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teodor Sedlarski and the Vice Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr/ Atanas Georgiev, who is also head of the energy master’s program at the FEBA.

Representatives of the two universities discussed opportunities for academic staff and student exchange, as well as other joint projects in the field of circular economy and energy economics.

Boyan Rashev's lecture presented some good practices and cases from the real business environment - examples of different projects and industries.
