SUMMER CAMP OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SPORT AT SOFIA UNIVERSITY "ST. KLIMENT OHRIDSKI"

 

The Department of Sport at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" organises a "Summer Sports and Wellness Camp" aimed at students from all specialisations of the 16 faculties of the Alma Mater who want to combine an active seaside holiday with physical activity, gaining skills in unfamiliar sports, and meeting students from other faculties.

The camp will take place from 2 to 9 September 2026 at the Lozenets holiday village (between Kiten and Tsarevo) and is open to all SU students regardless of their sporting level.

The programme is conducted under the guidance of lecturers and instructors from the Department of Sport, with many years of experience in the mentioned sports disciplines and sports pedagogy.

The camp has a multifaceted goal – developing motor skills, improving physical fitness, acquiring new sports skills and building habits for a healthy lifestyle.

The programme includes sports, educational and recreational activities tailored to the abilities and interests of the participants.

MAIN HIGHLIGHTS:

• Practical sessions in sports – aerobics, basketball, jogging, judo, kayaking, cricket, beach volleyball, beach tennis, swimming, tennis, football

• Health-promoting morning exercises, stretching and jogging

• Training sessions and lectures related to physical fitness and safe sports practices

• Educational modules – healthy eating, injury prevention and sports psychology

• Evening events promoting teamwork, communication and university spirit

• During the period 4-6 September 2026, a "Beach Tennis" tournament for all attending students will be held within the camp. Registration for participation will be on-site with the supervising lecturer.

IMPORTANT!

1. Camp registration begins on 1 June 2026 and will continue until 26 August 2026 (in room 120 of the Rectorate – Sports Department, where you will receive full information about the camp (tel: 02/9442749 or 02/9308435).

2. The camp includes 7 overnight stays, 7 meals including lunch and dinner (without breakfast), insurance and sports activities under the guidance of lecturers and instructors. The package starts with lunch on 2 September and ends with dinner on 8 September. Transportation is at the personal expense of the participants!
