Students of Sofia University with coaches Prof. Boryana Tumanova and Assoc. Prof. Bilyana Rangelova won a total of 11 medals at the National University Swimming Championships held in Sofia at the Diana Complex on 11-12 May 2026.
6 gold medals were won by: Rosina Todorova from the Faculty of Law in the 50m freestyle and 100m freestyle; Boris Ivanov from the Faculty of Law in the 100m butterfly; Boris Kolev from the Faculty of Law in the 50m backstroke and 100m backstroke; Mincho Sokolov from the Faculty of Biology in the 200m individual medley.
3 silver medals were won by: Boris Ivanov from the Faculty of Law in the 100m freestyle; Dima Nedelcheva from the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Rosina Todorova from the Faculty of Law, Ivo Hristov from the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics and Boris Ivanov from the Faculty of Law in the 4x50m freestyle mixed relay; Boris Kolev from the Faculty of Law, Mincho Sokolov from the Faculty of Biology, Rosina Todorova from the Faculty of Law and Yoana Mitsova from the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics in the 4x50m medley mixed relay;
2 bronze medals were won by: Ivo Hristov from the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics in the 100m butterfly; Rosina Todorova from the Faculty of Law in the 100m butterfly.
In the final overall ranking, the team from Sofia University finished in second place after the students from NSA.
