The first gold medal for Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" at the National Student Universiade Sofia 2026 was won by Rosina Nikolova from the Faculty of Law in athletics in the 800 m.
Our team also won 4 silver medals: Stoil Krastev (Faculty of Law) in the 400 m, Dara Ivanova (Faculty of Philosophy) in the 400 m, Petar Borisov (PhD student at the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy) in the 3000 m, as well as our men's 4x400 m relay: Alex Kovachev (Faculty of Law), Alexander Ivanov (Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics), Tsvetan Zahariev (Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering) and Stoil Krastev (Faculty of Law).
The athletics team coach is Assoc. Prof. Ivanka Karparova.
