On June 14, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev participated in the official opening of the first module of a new international business academy for the water sector in Southeast Europe - Utility Management Training, organized by IAWD - International Association of Water Service Companies in the Danube River Catchment Area. Institutional partners of the academy are the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ”, through its Center for Educational Services, as well as the World Bank Group, which provides specialized training materials for some of the modules.

One of the lecturers in the first module of the academy, "Financial and Organizational Management", will be Assist. Prof. Vasil Karaivanov, lecturer in "Project Finance for Energy and Infrastructure" in the master's program "Energy Markets and Services".

Among the partners of the new training program are the utility companies Energie AG / Wasser, Sofiyska Voda (Veolia), SHUKALB, ECONOLER, UTVSI and SIEMENS.
