INSAIT, part of Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, is launching the 1st Workshop on Agentic AI for Visual Media (AAVM) at CVPR 2026. The initiative positions Bulgarian-based research at the forefront of developments in Agentic AI for visual media. The workshop is led by INSAIT faculty members Jinjin Gu and Lei Sun, and is organized in collaboration with Snap Inc. and Adobe.
The workshop focuses on Agentic AI as a step beyond one-shot generation, emphasizing systems that can reason, plan, and execute complex creative workflows. In the context of visual media, this paradigm supports AI systems that can manage sequences of tasks and decisions across production pipelines rather than producing single outputs from prompts.
AAVM explores the evolution of AI from a generation tool into an intelligent agent that coordinates models, tools, and pipelines. This approach aims to bridge script-based storytelling and final visual rendering, enabling end-to-end media creation scenarios applicable to real-world production.
The call for papers targets research on agentic infrastructures, multimodal generation, visual understanding, multi-agent systems, human–agent collaboration, and evaluation methodologies for multi-step creative workflows. Submissions will be accepted as full papers and short papers or posters under a double-blind review process.
The submission deadline is March 31, 2026. The workshop is scheduled to take place in June 2026 in Denver, alongside CVPR 2026.
