An introductory meeting under the project “Cross-border Art of Gardening by The Black Sea”, in which Sofia University is a partner, was held on 30th August, 2013.
The leading partner of the project is the Municipality of Techirghiol, Romania. The other partners in the project are Ovidius University, Constanta, "Dvoretza Balchik" and the Municipality of Balchik. The project activities include establishing a botanic garden in the Municipality of Techirghiol, improvement of the park of the Botanic Garden Balchik, reconstruction of the buildings of "Dvoretza", etc.
The University Botanic Garden Balchik experts the architect Stiliyan Borisov and the biologist Christo Vulchev presented the collections and activities of the University Botanic Garden Balchik.
