The cycle of lectures about the Past and the Present of South-East Europe continues by a lecture delivered by the ambassador of Romania

посланик Антон Пъкурецу

Prof. Ivan Ilchev, the Rector, welcomed H.E. Mr. Anton Pacuretu, Ambassador of Romania.

Mr Anton Pacuretu noted that Sofia and Bucharest must develop joint projects in order to attract funding, including EC fund funding.

Prof. Ilchev noted that one of Sofia University main donators Evlogy Georgiev also donated for the University of Bucharest, becoming one of the few to support two national universities.

The main focus of the lecture delivered by the Ambassador are the foreign policy aims of Romania today and its relations with Bulgaria, which is viewed as one of the most important neighbouring countries and strategic partners.

The lecture by Ambassador Pacuretu is part of the cycle of lectures delivered by ambassadors of South-East countries for students of the Bachelor's Degree Programme "Southeast European Studies" of the Faculty of History.
