The award is given annually by the Association "Renaissance 21st c." for contribution in preserving national identity and Bulgarian spirit in the contemporary social development.
Sofia University is the first institution to be awarded. The awarding was initiated by Bulgarian Committee "Vassil Levski".
The Chair of the Association "Renaissance 21st c." Nikola Belishki gave the award to Assoc. Prof. Evgenia Benova, Vice-Rector of Sofia University in Oboriste on 2nd May. Assoc. Prof. Evgenia Benova thanked on behalf of Sofia University, the Rector, Prof. Ilchev, and the academia for the acknowledgement of the 125-year activity of Sofia University in the field of the establishment of national identity and Bulgarian spirit in the contemporary social development.
