Sofia University hosted the first hacking marathon HackFMI

120 students of FMI competed last weekend in the faculty of Mathematics and Informatics. The goal was to form teams and to suggest and develop software to solve real problems of the Faculty for 50 hours.

The vent was supported by Musala Soft. A special lecture at the beginning of the event, delivered by specialists of Musala Soft, introduced the flexible Agile and Scrum methodologies for software development. In addition, each participant was given a special set of Planning Poker Cards which to use during the meetings for planning and executing the project.

Musala Soft special award, a test drive by a sport car, was won by team Dummies: Dimo Uzunov, Slav Petkov and Rumen Paletov - third year students of FMI, Computer Science students.

The team managed to develop a platform to combine the needs of the business and the faculty students interests, supporting the internship programmes.
