5 medals for the Bulgarian team from the International Physics Olympiad

Leaders of the team are Prof. Miroslav Abrashev and Assoc. Prof. Victor Ivanov, Faculty of Physics, Sofia University.

The International Physics Olympiad in Copenhagen , Denmark, took place from 7th to 14th July, 2013.

The Bulgarian team won 5 medals: a gold, a silver and three bronze. Teams from 83 countries participated in the Olympiad. Our team results are the best for the last 16 years.

The students who won the medals are:

Gold: Katerina Naydenova, 11th grade, High School of Mathematics and Science and Mathematics, Kazanlak

Silver: Yordan Yordanov, 12th grade, High School of Mathematics and Science and Mathematics, Kazanlak

Bronze: Kaloyan Metodiev, 12th grade, First English Language School, Sofia

Bronze: Kaloyan Durmonev, 12th grade. High School of Mathematics, Varna

Bronze: Ivan Poryazov, 11th grade. High School of Mathematics, Kazanlak

Leaders of the team are Prof. Miroslav Abrashev and Assoc. Prof. Victor Ivanov, Faculty of Physics, Sofia University.

The sponsor of the team is Foundation America for Bulgaria for a forth year in a row.
