The Green Year started on 14th October, 9.00 h. The initiative includes the yards of four faculties: Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Faculty of Biology and Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics. It is directed to cleaning out the litter and trimming the vegetation, renovating the benches and alleys and establishing new recreation spots.
The students know that the task is ambitious, therefore they planned the places to be prepared and cleared during the winter semester. The actual work is starting in the spring. The campaign was student idea, it is funded by the Students' Council and the Faculty Students' Councils of the respective faculties, as well as the Sport Department.
There are places with instruments and equipment established in the gardens for the students who are willing to take part in the initiative.
