The University Centre for Information and Communication Technologies (UCICT) is the succesor of established in 1972 University Computer Centre (UCC). He was alone basic unit of the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski . UCICT uses modern Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to maintain the computer and network infrastructure of Sofia University. Its main objective is to provide computer and communication resources to all the faculties and departments of the University, as well as consultations, documentation and specialised literature needed for their implementation. UCICT is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of the University Computer Network, and its connection to the Internet and other national and international research networks. The information and computer services are open to all undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate students, and the academic staff; support and maintenance are ensured for all University research and educational activities. UCICT experts participate in national and international projects, provide IT services to international educational and research teams.
