Vanina Kalapsazova, a student in the Business Administration (English) course, has returned from Malta with three awards which she won in the Ixth edition of Malta International Singer’s Festival Euro Stars. The festival was held on 24-28 April in the capital of Malta, Valletta. This year, the event gathered nearly 100 young artists from 14 countries.

In the competition program Vanina participated both as an individual performer and as part of a duet. She won the 1st prize in her age group and the Grand Prix of the festival with her performance of Aretha Franklin’s song “Respect”. For the performance of Scorpion’s “Maybe I, Maybe You”, she and her duet partner were also awarded with Diploma III Grade. As part of the awards, she also received invitations from the organisers ot two highly prestigious international singer competitions in Kaunas, Lithuania – “Kaunas Talent” and Padua, Italy – “Topvoice”.

 

Vanina has been taking singing lesson with vocal coatch Tanya Tocheva for fifteen years already.
