Two students from FEBA at Sofia University – Martin Dimitrov and Iliya Dechkov attended „CuriousU” – a summer school at the University of Twente, the Netherlands. They participated in the “Leaders of Influence and Innovation” course created by the University Innovation Fellows (UIF) at Stanford University, in which both students also took part.

The course passed through the process of design thinking and upgraded every step until the students created their own projects. The program lasted 10 days and included visits to companies like Philips and FrieslandCampina, seminars with inspiring leaders, who gave them guidance for the entire design thinking process, as well as meetings with CEOs of well-known companies such as Thales.

This participation further strengthened Sofia University’s connections with Stanford University and the University of Twente, and the students plan to implement in Bulgaria the good practices they witnessed during the summer school. This was the second meeting of UIF participants after the Silicon Valley meeting in March, in which our students also took part. The students successfully completed the program and received certificates of participation.

The participation of both students was funded by the Student Council of Sofia University.
