The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” has been awarded a new international project funded under the Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 2 – Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education (KA220-HED).

The project, titled “Entrepreneurial and Innovation Proficiency: A Way to Digital Agenda (EPIDA)”, brings together the efforts of five universities united by the ambition to contribute to more modern, inclusive, and practice-oriented education. EPIDA is dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial, social, and innovation skills through the use of digital tools and the training of a new generation of professionals capable of meeting the challenges of the digital economy. Its implementation will also create a favorable environment for effective collaboration between academia and business.

The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration is the project coordinator, with the following partners:

  • Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France
  • Hellenic Open University, Greece
  • Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania
  • Aleksandër Xhuvani University of Elbasan, Albania

The coordinator's team is led by Prof. Dr. Albena Vutsova, Senior Researcher (R4), and includes Assoc. Prof. Dr. Todor Yalamov, Vice-Dean for Research, Innovation and Projects, and Dr. Olga Ignatova, Researcher (R2).

The EPIDA project aims to create real added value for higher education through:

  • The development of innovative digital educational platforms and tools;
  • The creation of practice-oriented training programs and methodologies;
  • The promotion of social entrepreneurship as a tool for the inclusion of vulnerable groups and sustainable economic development;
  • The establishment of a collaborative network involving universities and stakeholders from various sectors.
