On March 18, 2025, the First Year Review meeting of the RTIT – Knowhow Communities for Accelerating RTI Transfer in the Danube Region, funded by the Danube Region Programme, took place in Budapest. The event was hosted by the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry and brought together representatives of all 13 project partner organizations, including the team from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
The meeting was opened with a welcome address from the Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat of the Programme, who outlined the objectives and methodology of the First Year Review. The Lead Partner, IEC Tehnopolis, provided a comprehensive overview of the project’s progress, highlighting effective management and excellent collaboration among partners. The first year of project implementation was assessed as particularly successful, with no major delays or challenges encountered.
Key results were presented within the framework of the project’s three strategic objectives:
- SO1: "PLAN!" – led by Business Incubator (BI), focused on strategic planning and preparatory activities;
- SO2: "Field-test!" – presented by IEC Tehnopolis, included the development of an action plan and future pilot initiatives;
- SO3: "Sustain!" – led by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS), focused on ensuring sustainability of achieved results and planning for upcoming phases.
INTERA Technology Park, the project’s communication leader, presented strategies for stakeholder engagement and project visibility. A dedicated financial session highlighted budget utilization, reporting, and financial planning for the next stages.
The meeting concluded with an open discussion session, during which partners exchanged ideas and outlined the next steps, including the implementation of pilot actions during the second year of the project.
