As a way of opening the academic year for the Master's degree program in big data at the Faculty, students from the program met with representatives of the American company AtScale.

 

AtScale is a US software company based in California working in the sphere of virtual data warehousing.

 

Daniel Grey - Senior Director, Corporate Sales Engineering

 

For the past 20 years, Daniel has worked in the field of big data, data warehousing and machine learning, specializing in analytical research. Prior to joining AtScale's Senior Corporate Sales team, he worked for the HP technology giant for 12 years, 5 of which he spent at the company's technology center.

 

Daniel has worked with many databases, including Vertica, Netezza, Oracle, Hadoop and Spark, as well as various infrastructure tools, including Docker, Kubernetes and Openshift. His expertise also includes Python, R, and SAS.

 

Dan Dosh - Head of Software Engineering

 

Dan Dosch is a computer engineer, graduate of the prestigious University of California, Santa Barbara. He has been with AtScale since 2015, having been Software Engineering Manager for the past 2 years. Previously, Dan gained experience with the marketing company Acxiom, and a higlight in his biography is Yahoo, where he worked in top-level software engineering for 4 years.
