On March 7, 2025, at the 9th General Assembly of the European Nuclear Education Network (ENEN) in Brussels, a vote was held to accept Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" as a full member.
Before the vote, Assoc. Prof. Plamen Petkov from the Faculty of Physics presented an overview of the university's bachelor's and master's programs related to the nuclear field. Special attention was given to the innovative master's program "Nuclear Technologies, Management, and Innovations", which was not only developed through collaboration between two faculties but was also subsequently accredited by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) within the framework of the International Nuclear Management Academy (INMA).
Currently, the master's program "Nuclear Technologies, Management, and Innovations" is managed by a team consisting of Assoc. Prof. Petkov, Prof. Georgi Rainovski, Dean of the Faculty of Physics, and Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
