During the visit, working meetings were held with representatives of the dean's office of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences, professors and administrative staff at the University of Lille. With the French colleagues were discussed the possibilities for deepening the cooperation between the two universities in the bachelor's and master’s programs and its extension to doctoral programs as well as conducting common courses, including mobility with other universities. The focuses of the discussions were the development of the partnership in the field of scientific studies in economics and management, the development of academic and administrative composition, the double graduation of Bulgarian and French students, etc.

The French program in Economics and Business Administration was established in 1995 in the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" with the support of the French Institute at the French Embassy in Bulgaria. Its leading partner is the University of Lille, which provides Bulgarian students the possibility of obtaining a double degree while being an undergraduate in FEBA. To date, over 250 students have received a bachelor's degree. In beginning of April 2023, representatives of the University of Lille visited FEBA and meetings were held with the dean's office, professors, students from the faculty, as well as prospective students from leading French language schools.
