On October 26, the academic year for the new part-time 2-semester master's program "Facility Management" at the Department of Industrial Economics and Management of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ” was officially opened. The program is implemented with the assistance of the Bulgarian Facility Management Association (BGFMA) and the European Facility Management Association (EuroFM), where FEBA is a member.

The students were welcomed by the director of the program and dean of FEBA Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev, PhD, leading lecturers and business partners. The official opening ceremony included:

The opening continued with short presentations by leading lecturers in the program:

Prof. Eng. Yordan Botev, PhD, Faculty of Philosophy, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ”

The first day of the first module of the program continued with lectures on the subject "Facility Management", which were held in the hall, but with a live broadcast through MS Teams for students who were not able to attend.

This week the students will have the opportunity to attend online the lectures of the 15th International Conference "Facility Management: Realization in Bulgaria" - www.fmconference.bg.

The master's program is designed for working professionals and is in part-time form, as training in special disciplines is organized in 3 modules of 5 days in the winter semester and 2 modules of 5 days in the summer semester. For the graduates of non-economic specialties additional lectures on general economic disciplines are planned during the weekends of the winter semester.

The program builds on the previous experience in the education of masters in facility and property management as specializations or separate master's programs in the period since 2008.

22 students enrolled in the first class of the new master's program. After completing the education, they must defend their master's theses in November 2021.
