On October 10, 2019 in Sofia, at “Serdica” Hall of the Balkan Hotel was held the “Circular Economy and the Environment” 2019 – Added Value + Conference. The event was organised by Industrial Cluster Srednogorie with the general partnership of Aurubis, Bulgaria and with silver partner Elatsite med and bronze partner Asarel Medet; corporate presence: Amylum, Bulgaria and Dundee Precious Metals, Chelopech; Partner institutions: the Bulgarian Industrial Association, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Bulgarian Association of the Metallurgical Industry, the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association, the Bulgarian Chamber of Mining and Geology, the Bulgarian Chamber of Chemical Industry and the Scientific and Technical Union of Mining, Geology and Metallurgy.

Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” is member of the Industrial Cluster Srednogorie and the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration has been a long-term partner of the association.

Assoc. Prof. D-r Atanas Georgiev, Vice-Dean of FEBA was moderator of the second panel of the conference - “Circular Economy and the Environment: Corporate Practices and Programs”. The panel included presentations by Mr. Rumen Tsonev, CEO of KCM Group 2000, Mrs. Politimi Paunova, CEO of the Bulgarian Association of the Metallurgical Industry (BAMI), Mr. Dimitar Kuyumdzhiev, Expert from the Bulgarian Energy and Mining Forum and Prof. Yoncho Pelovski, Vice-Chairman of the Bulgarian Chamber of the Chemical Industry.
