On 13 and 14 February 2025, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev, participated in the annual conference of the deans of the member business schools of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). Since last year Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" through FEBA is the only Bulgarian university in this network. Last year the full membership of Sofia University in EFMD Global was approved. This year's event was attended by 400 deans and directors from leading business schools around the world.

During the annual conference, contacts with current partner universities were strengthened and future joint initiatives were coordinated. Conference topics covered artificial intelligence, global geopolitical challenges, the contemporary role of business schools, and more.

The European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) was founded in 1972. The network of business schools and corporations is dedicated to raising the level of management education. The organisation has a network of 30,000 management professionals from academia and business. EFMD thus provides unique opportunities for the exchange of information and research, as well as for broad debate on best practices in management education.
