On February 7, 2025, the FEBA Energy Alumni & Female Entrepreneurship Lab Networking event took place. The initiative, organized by Net-Zero Lab and the FEBA Alumni Club, brought together students, graduates, and professionals united by a common mission—the sustainable development of the energy sector.
Among the special guests were students from the MBA Energy program at the University of Bucharest, who added an international dimension to the discussions and enriched the event with new ideas and perspectives. In addition, students and graduates of the Master’s Program in Energy Markets and Services at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) also took part in the event.
The official opening was led by Prof. Deyan Radev, Vice President of the FEBA Alumni Club, and Chief Assist. Prof. Mariya Trifonova, Director of the Master’s Program in Energy Markets and Services. They emphasized the importance of events that bridge academia, business, and young leaders in the energy sector.
One of the evening’s key highlights was the announcement of the winner of the competition "Women Driving Carbon Neutrality: Future-Oriented Business Ideas in the Energy Sector", organized by the Female Entrepreneurship Lab at Net-Zero Lab. The competition aims to encourage female entrepreneurs who offer innovative solutions for reducing carbon emissions and creating sustainable business models in the energy sector.
The winner of the competition was Ladelayda Lagadova, who impressed the jury with her innovative business concept in the field of sustainability and carbon neutrality. Her project facilitates interaction among key stakeholders, supporting their efforts to reduce their carbon footprint and fulfill ESG commitments.
Net-Zero Lab is a unit established within the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", dedicated to providing practical knowledge for effectively transforming climate neutrality goals into concrete actions. Net-Zero Lab promotes an evidence-based and just sustainable transformation in Bulgaria and the region. As part of its initiatives, the Female Entrepreneurship Lab was created, emphasizing the role of startups in the energy sector and the importance of active female participation in this process.
The event was not only a platform for awards and discussions but also an opportunity for valuable professional networking. Participants exchanged ideas, shared experiences, and inspired each other in a relaxed and energizing atmosphere.
