For a second consecutive year the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration offered to everyone interested the elective course “Digital business models and processes” led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anton Gerunov. The course was held over four days – March 28, 29 and April 11, 12. It presented a survey the novelties in digital business strategy and will explore possible ways of thinking comprehensively and strategically about digital markets and products. What was also considered was the question of how the influence of the new technologies and megatrends like the using of big data, artificial intelligence and blockchain are changing the environment.

The topics in the course were:

 

  • Module 1: Digital business strategies, services, web services and platforms; Workshop: Business models, based on data
  • Module 2: Value in digital business models. Methods for modeling of value; Workshop: Blockchain and cryptocurrencies
  • Module 3: Modeling and digitization of the business processes toward digital transformation; Workshop: Automated decision-making and artificial intelligence
  • Module 4: Management in a digital environment – flexible approaches in Scrum methodology; Workshop: Issues and challenges in IT management

 

About the lecturer:

 

Anton Gerunov is expert in the field of data analysis, risk management and business modeling. He has had mor than 10-year experience working in the private and public sectors. He has worked as international business consultant and project manager for global companies in the Netherlands, England, USA and Saudi Arabia. He has been advisor at the Council of Ministers and has managed the planning and completion of projects and programs in the field of e-government. Anton Gerunov holds a PhD and it is Assoc. Prof. of Risk Management at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. At the moment he is also Chief Operating Officer at LogSentinel, an innovative IT company that uses blockchain technology and artificial intelligence to solve information security issues.
