The first national capacity building programme on child rights and business will provide an overview of the crucial challenges related to the impact of business on children.

  • Module 1: Children’s Rights and Business Principles

These are the first global comprehensive set of principles to guide companies on the full range of actions they can take in the workplace, marketplace and community to respect and support children’s rights. They are built on existing standards, initiatives and best practices related to business and children, and seek to fill gaps to present a coherent vision for business to maximize the positive impacts and minimize negative impacts on children.

Online session: 8-9 April 2021

  • Module 2: SDGs and the contribution of Business

Covering a wide spectrum of sustainable development topics relevant to companies – such as poverty, health, education, climate change and environmental degradation – the UN Sustainable Development Goals help to connect business strategies with global priorities.

Online session: 13-14 May 2021

  • Module 3: UNICEF and Business: Shared Value Partnerships

All over the world UNICEF and Business identify, engage and co-create win-win partnerships that contribute to Agenda 2030 on sustainable development. They are based on UNICEF’s mandate to safeguard the rights of all children and understand the various ways private sector impacts on children.
