From July 1, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Stella Raleva, a longtime lecturer at the Department of Economics and former Vice-Rector of UNWE (2016-2020), joins the team of the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA). Assoc. Prof. Raleva will lead the disciplines "General Economic Theory", "Introduction to Microeconomics and Macroeconomics", "Macroeconomics" and "International Economics".

Assoc. Prof. Stella Raleva graduated in Macroeconomics at the University of National and World Economy. Since 2004 she has been a doctor, and since 2013 - an associate professor in PN 3.8 "Economics", "Political Economy (Microeconomics and Macroeconomics)". She was a member of the Academic Council of UNWE (2015-2021) and of the Faculty Council of the Faculty of General Economics (2011-2021). She has lectured at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ”, NBU, III of BAS and VTU “St. St. Cyril and Methodius”. From 2004 to 2016 she was an associate at the Governing Council of the BNB. Deputy Chairman (2017-2020) and member of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Association for Regional Studies.

She has specialized in Germany, Great Britain, Poland, Hungary, Greece, Slovakia and Russia. She is a participant in 8 international and 12 national research and educational projects and is the leader of one research project. She has participated in numerous international conferences and workshops in Italy, Spain, Croatia, Greece, Turkey, Romania, Macedonia, Albania, India and Sri Lanka. She has participated in the program committees of a number of international scientific conferences. From 2014 to 2016 she was a member of the Editorial Board of the series "Discussion Materials of the BNB". She has over 90 scientific publications in Bulgarian and English and is the supervisor of two doctoral students.
