On September 8 and 9, 2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deyan Radev presented results from the project “The Effect of Brexit on the European Banking System and Real Economy” at an event organized by the Bulgarian Fintech Association and the Bulgarian Embassy in Great Britain. The purpose of the event was to present the Bulgarian fintech cluster to our diaspora and other interested parties in Great Britain. Associate Professor Dr. Deyan Radev was invited as a representative of the academy, which in recent years has been working to promote educational and regulatory initiatives related to digital finance.

The project is financed by the NGO “Peter Beron i NIE” of the Scientific Research Fund of the Ministry of Education and Culture, aiming at the reintegration into the Bulgarian scientific community of promising Bulgarian scientists working in scientific organizations abroad.

As part of the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deyan Radev, Neda Mujo from the Financial Supervision Commission and Georgi Marinov from ePay.bg held a panel discussion on “The Bulgarian fintech cluster – opportunities, challenges and the role of the government and regulators”. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Radev presented the master's programs of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, the From Zero to FinTech hackathon, the Women in Fintech initiative, as well as the scientific activity in partnership with BFA within the Association's annual report, and book chapters and scientific studies using data on the Bulgarian fintech cluster.
