Miroslavа Hristovа is an Associate Professor in Strategic Management in the Department of Business Administration at “St. Kliment Ohridski” University of Sofia.

She holds a PhD in Strategic management from the University of Montesquieu – Bordeaux IV.


Her research interests lie in the strategy process, strategic behavior, corporate strategy, international strategy, and the intersection of strategic management and psychology.

She studies the strategy process, at organizational and managerial level, with particular interest on planning, decision making and strategic behavior, and the links with types of corporate strategies adopted and firm performance.


Recent areas of interest focus on relational, cognitive, behavioral, characterological and emotion-focused managerial influences on strategy.


A core research work of hers centers at firms’ strategic behavior and the Strategic Success Theorem. Ansoffian researcher, Miroslava Hristova explores conditions of the Strategic Success Theorem’s applicability for the context of Europe, to be integrated into a framework.


Miroslava Hristova is Strategic Management Society member for many years. She is involved in the Interest Groups of Global strategy, Strategy Process, and Behavioral Strategy.


Fluent in French, English, Italian, Russian, Spanish, and Bulgarian languages.
