On April 14th and 15th, Utilities magazine and the Center for Educational Services (CEC) at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” conducted an online training on “Digital skills for energy traders”. Representatives of energy companies, students and PhD students took part in the training.

The training is part of the initiatives related to the master's program "Energy Markets and Services" at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. The training was designed for managers and experts who want to deepen their knowledge of the electricity market and in particular the digitalization of the processes of electricity trading.

The course is conducted with the support and participation of ROITI.

ROITI is a consulting company working on the IT architectures of the leading energy retailers in Europe. They have experience in projects with top 5 traders in Germany and several of the leading companies in Central Europe. The company was established in 2013 and has a team of over 60 experts in various aspects of software solutions needed by large energy retailers. They combine a wide range of technical competencies and an understanding of the foundations of energy trade.

 

The training included the following topics:

1. Business architecture, technical architecture, key competencies for building different types of software solutions;

2. Collection, organization and visualization of data with Power BI;

3. What does a complex reporting solution look like?

4. 2 cases to solve with Power BI.
