Aim of the program: To train highly qualified professionals who are well versed in modern methods and tools for management and development of organizations. The program aims to create an understanding of the need for serious theoretical training and to give learners a basis for continuous self-improvement in practice. The Master's Program in Business Management provides the opportunity to profile and specialize trainees, to build knowledge and skills necessary for the successful implementation of the requirements of a particular job or group of jobs in the field of management. After successful graduation, in addition to a master’s degree in business management, graduates are also awarded the status of "specialists", i.e. if they wish they can continue their studies in one of the higher specialized master's programs offered by the Faculty and obtain a second Master's degree.

 

Graduates of the program receive a professional qualification of a Business Manager.

Graduates of the program could be in all areas of public production as managers of teams, in organizations of different sizes and specifics, as specialists dealing with planning, management of human resources, operational management, etc. They can hold managerial and administrative positions in business organizations, at middle and high levels public administration, in non-profit organizations. They could work as consultants in business, and work in research and development units. A possible career path is to continue studying in PhD studies and orientation towards a research and teaching career.

 

The duration of study is 1 year (2 semesters), which includes: basic training - basic compulsory subjects, building the professional specialization of a master’s in business management, economic, statistical and legal knowledge necessary for successful performance of various managerial functions in diverse organizations.

 

Professional training - free elective training in various possible directions. The workload and credits for these courses are not counted for the completion of the curriculum.

 

The training ends with a state examination or the defense of a master's thesis – optional.

 

The state examinations are respectively:

 

  • For those admitted from the winter semester - first session: state examination in July or or defense of a master's thesis in November; second session: state examination in November.
  • The second session of the first year of the master’s degree in September or the defense of the Master's thesis in March (in the following calendar year).
  • For those admitted from the summer semester - first session: state examination in July or defense of a master's thesis in March; second session: state examination in September or defense of the master’s thesis in November.
