On November 11 and 12, Utilities magazine and the Center for Educational Services (CEC) at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” conducted a joint online training on “Electricity Trading – Retail Sales Management”. The training was attended by 15 representatives of the energy sector and students.

The training is part of the initiatives related to the master's program "Energy Markets and Services" at FEBA.

Lecturers in the training were:

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev, Editor-in-Chief of the Utilities Magazine;
  • Krassimir Zhivachki, Executive Secretary, Association of Electricity Traders in Bulgaria (ATEB);
  • Maxim Kolev, Partner - CRM solutions, Next Consult LTD;
  • Eng. Plamen Dilkov, Executive Director, Bulgaria Engineering EAD;
  • Radoslav Rachev, Manager, Powersyst;
  • Todor Matev, Retail Sales Director, CEZ Electro Bulgaria AD;
  • Chavdar Doichinov, Head of Strategic Planning, Rhythm 4 TB.

The participants in the online training listened to lectures on all stages of retail trade - marketing and sales for customers in the liberalized market, customer relationship management and invoicing.

In particular, the lecturers spoke about:

  • marketing strategies in the energy business;
  • different types of contracts and documentation related to sales;
  • the creation of added value and energy services for retail customers;
  • load management, balancing and settlement;
  • centralized contract management and invoicing.
