The International Conference ‘Discussions about Globalism’, 7-9 November, gathered linguists and researchers in the field of English language and culture from all over the world. The main topic of the conference was the phenomenon of globalization and English as the language of globalization. Among the participants were Fernando Galvin, the Chair of ESSE, Vice-Rector of Alkala University, Madrid, who highlighted the changes in the perception of the English literature in the era of Globalization, the understanding of the word ‘writer’ in its broad sense, the contemporary ‘graffiti writers’.
