Sofia University is the best performing university in Bulgaria in Ranking Web of Universities, as the ranking 2013 shows. Alma Mater takes 593rd place in the world.
The ranking is published twice a year and Sofia University is below the 600th place for the first time.
The ranking for web presence Ranking Web of Universities (http://webometrics.info) follows four main criteria: the impact of the site, visibility (total number of pages supported by the main domain), openness (additional text files publishing) and excellence (academic texts published in renowned editions, as well as citations on such publications).
