UNICA (Network of Universities from the Capitals of Europe).

UNICA has 43 members. Its role is to promote academic excellence, integration and co-operation between member universities throughout Europe. It seeks also to be a driving force in the development of the Bologna process and to facilitate the integration of universities from Central and Eastern Europe into the European Higher Education Area.



AUF (Agence universitaire de la francophonie)

AUF is one of the most important higher education and research associations in the world. The AUF has also been La Francophonie’s operating agency for higher education and research since 1989. AUF aims to establish a French-language international academic community that produces and transmits knowledge.



SCAR (Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research)

SCAR is charged with initiating, developing and coordinating high quality International scientific research in the Antarctic region, and on the role of the Antarctic region in the Earth system.



BSUN (Black Sea Universities Network)

Over 100 universities-members from the 12 countries of the Economic Cooperation from the Black Sea Region (BSEC) – Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Russian Federation, Turkey and Ukraine. BSUN aims at exploring the ways for establishing joint scientific and educational projects and the realization of some of them and supporting the Reform activities in the Partner Universities in conformity with the Bologna Process.



EMUNI University (Euro-Mediterranean University)

The Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI University) based in Slovenia is one of the six priority areas of the Union for the Mediterranean. It was established as international network of universities (179 members from 38 countries, GA 2010). The mission of University includes: approving the quality of higher education through the implementation of postgraduate (master's and doctorate) study and research programmes with a special focus on cultural diversity.



BUA (Balkan Universities Association)

The primary aim of Balkan Universities Association (BUA) is to determine a leading vision for the future through the universities, the libraries, the research centers in Balkan region on the base of common global values by considering the necessities of the time. Besides, forming up a scientific network in the areas of the language, the culture, the art, the history, the economy, the education and sports and caring out collaborative scientific works in these areas are aims of BUA.

UNGC (UN Global Compact) and Bulgarian Network of the UN Global Compact

The Global Compact is a voluntary initiative of the former UN Secretary General, Mr. Kofi Annan, bringing together business and non-governmental organizations, academic institutions, cities and UN agencies in a truly global forum to promote sustainable growth and civic responsibility. The ten Principles of the Global Compact are aimed at implementation of responsible business practices in the field of human rights, labor standards, environment and anti-corruption. The Bulgarian Network of the UN Global Compact, which operates as part of the global network, was officially launched on May 6, 2011 by H.E. Ban Ki-moon – Secretary General of the UN.
