The prospective students of the Master’s program “Information and Communication Technologies in Education” are those who have received a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy or who have a teacher certification. These could be teachers from all kinds and levels of the educational system, trainers from non-formal education, teacher trainers, University lecturers, educational managers and experts. The programme is open for professionals from academia, organizations and companies offering consulting services in the field of training and new technologies, as well as the IT business.

 

 

 

Program Goals and Objectives:

 

  • To introduce to learners the development of the conceptual, pedagogical, psychological, social, technological, and technical aspects of the phenomenon “e-learning”
  • To assure learners’ acquisition of the necessary professional knowledge, skills, and competencies related to the use of ICT in various educational contexts
  • To educate a new generation of developers of e-educational materials who will become informed decision makers in the field
  • To form educators who can critically interpret research in the field of educational ICT and conduct such research on their own
  • To encourage the students in the program to take an independent and well-informed position on the use of ICT in various educational contexts
  • To encourage the students to take part in online professional communities and engage in the professional dialogue about the use of ICT in education
  • To prepare students for the successful development of a master’s thesis, which would lead to professional certification
  • To form students’ interest, skills, and motivation for further professional development and research in the field of ICT in education.

 

 

 

Professional competences

 

The students will obtain professional competences in the design and evaluation of e-content; e-learning activities design, support and evaluation and online students’ assessment.
