Three projects by teams of lecturers and students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" have been selected in the prestigious 2024 Competition for Fundamental Research Funding in the field of "Social Sciences" organized by the National Science Fund under the Ministry of Education and Science.

The selected projects are:

• "Gamification in Education for Building an Effective Competency System in the Context of Industry 5.0", led by Prof. Nevyana Krasteva, D.Sc. in Economics;
• "Economic Effects and Risks of the Rapid Integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technologies in Economics and Finance", led by Assoc. Prof. Nikolay Netov, Ph.D.;
• "Quality in Higher Education as a Social Construct: Formation and Transformation through Accreditation, Rankings, and Public Expectations", led by Prof. Sonya Mileva-Bozhanova, D.Sc. in Economics.
