The Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria and the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” signed a partnership agreement, which aims to provide additional opportunities for training and development of students at the university.
"Together with Sofia University we have a common goal - to keep young people in Bulgaria, giving them a good education and career start, as well as opportunities for development in Bulgarian and international companies", said Dr. Boryana Manolova, Chairman of the Board of CWBB and CEO of Siemens Bulgaria, Northern Macedonia and Ukraine. "The initiative of CWBB "Staying in Bulgaria" was created in connection with one of the main goals of the organization, which is to support young people at the start of their professional development, to promote their development and stay in Bulgaria. We believe that the internship is the first step towards professional realization and can be crucial for the future career of a young person", she added.
"The main priority for the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration is the development of relations with business organizations in Bulgaria to offer the latest educational content, practices, guest lectures, industrial visits and more. With the new partnership we will strive to create even more opportunities for our students, using the experience of CWBB and the business leaders of this association".
Within the framework of the partnership, lectures will be organized by leading managers and experts in business in Bulgaria, members of CWBB, for students at the leading educational center in the field of economics and management in Bulgaria. They will help with mentoring and information on important topics for business and society. The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” has a career center, which will connect students with leading companies that need their expertise, and thus will provide a suitable environment for meeting students and business. Students, PhD students and lecturers at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration will be able to take part in the programs of CWBB.
The coordination of the activities between CWBB and the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” was discussed at a working meeting attended by Dr. Eng. Boryana Manolova, Chairman of the Board of SZBB, Eng. Vanya Kaneva - Minkova, Executive Director of SZBB, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) of Sofia University, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Boryana Bogdanova, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. The possibility of additional joint projects to deepen the new partnership was also considered.
