The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration continues its partnership with the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the forth year in a row. In 2020, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" through FEBA became the first Bulgarian academic partner of the EIB for a series of guest lectures by managers at the institution.
On March 17, Mr. Teodor Radonov, head of the EIB's regional office in Bulgaria, gave a guest lecture to the students of the Faculty. Mr. Radonov presented the topic "Business cycle and activities in Bulgaria".
The guest lecture was held in the "New Institutional Economics" classes of Chief Assist. Prof. Georgi Ganev with the students of the 3rd and 4th year of the majors "Economics and Finances", "Business Administration" and "European studies", with the participation of the dean of FEBA – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev and the Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Boryana Bogdanova.
The series of lectures will continue until the middle of April. The following events are:
- Guest lecture by Atanas Kolev - Chief Advisor in the EIB's Economics Department, on "Effects of Pandemic Relief on Corporate Private Investment" - March 27, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., room 420.
- Guest lecture by Hristo Stoyanov - representative of the European Investment Fund in Bulgaria, on the topic “The Growth of Venture Capital Ecosystem in Bulgaria” - March 29 from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. in room 400.
- Presentation of the EIB summer school – April 3, 3 p.m., room 200
- Guest lecture by Alexandrina Boyanova, senior expert at the EIB, on the topic "EIB, the climate bank of the EU" - April 7, 1 p.m., room 200
