Official Address by FEBA’s Dean Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev, PhD

Dear Colleagues,

Today, May 16th, The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration celebrates 30 years since its reestablishment within Sofia University.

The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) was reestablished on May 16^th, 1990 by a decision of the Academic council (Protocol № 10). Subsequently, the Academic Council elected the Dean and FEBA’s Faculty Council (Protocol № 7 / 30.1.1991). Admission of 66 students was planned for the 1991/92 academic year. FEBA also received financial support from foreign countries.

Over the last 3 decades, FEBA has established itself as a renowned academic center for economics, business and management. Our students can choose from a variety of bachelor and master’s degree programs, that are in collaboration with reputable foreign universities.

FEBA’s alumni are among the most successful managers and experts in leading international and Bulgarian companies. At the same time, they are part of the continuous innovative joint projects which are beneficial for our community as well as the Bulgarian society.

Since its restoration FEBA has established itself as a leader among the universities in Bulgaria offering programs in economics and management.

Thanks to our joint efforts we have achieved such a success for which I congratulate you! We can be proud that we are part of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and that we develop its community together.
