From March 14th to 16th, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marina Stefanova participated in the annual meeting of SDSN Black Sea and the XI Global Baku Forum "Fixing the fractured world", organized by the international center Nizami Ganjavi.
This established event welcomed over 400 leaders from public and private sectors, Nobel laureates, and civil society representatives. As a recognized forum in Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus, Central Asia, and the Middle East, it provided an opportunity for prominent leaders and thinkers to discuss ways and means of overcoming some of the most pressing challenges in the world, including "The New World Disorder", "Correcting Global Governance", "Climate Change and other Environmental Challenges".
At the SDSN Black Sea Leadership Council meeting, held annually as part of the Global Forum, Assoc. Prof. Stefanova delivered a presentation on the topic "Stakeholder engagement and participatory approaches toward green transition" to the leadership of Azerbaijan State University of Economics, as well as to other participants in the international seminar "Energy Economics and Future Perspectives on Green Transition and Adaptation to Climate Change". The event marks the path to COP29, which will be held in Baku later this year.
