As of the beginning of the academic year 2023–2024, the bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes in Modern Greek Philology once again enjoy the cooperation with the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation [http://www.onassis.org/] in the promotion and development of Modern Greek language and culture studies at Sofia University.

In the period 2023–2027, the Foundation will financially support certain activities and projects within the bachelor's and master's programmes in Modern Greek Philology, such as: a permanent seminar on Greek language and culture, within which lectures will be given by prominent Bulgarian, Greek and foreign specialists in the field of Modern Greek studies, seminars on Modern Greek studies with the participation of professors from all Bulgarian universities offering courses and programmes in Modern Greek studies, financial support for excellent students, acquisition of new books for the collection of K. P. Kavafis Library, student educational seminars in Greece, student projects and cultural events, modernization of curricula, scientific development and professional qualification of the teaching staff, etc.
