UBB employees received certificates for successfully completing training in the program for specialists in sustainable management, organized jointly with the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" and KBC Bulgaria - ESG Academy.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Peter Ruben - Country Manager of KBC Group in Bulgaria and Chief Executive Officer of UBB; Desislava Simeonova - leader of the program for sustainable financing of KBC Group and Executive Director of SME Banking of UBB; as well as associate professor Dr. Atanas Georgiev - Dean of FEBA, and Assoc. Prof. Marina Stefanova - director of the Master's program "Responsible and Sustainable Governance" at FEBA.

Ms. Desislava Simeonova shared that the partnership with FEBA will continue, and that the third edition of the Academy is about to start. Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev and Assoc. Prof. Marina Stefanova said they intend to enrich the existing modules by upgrading the taught material in the curriculum almost twice. So far, the core modules included in the Academy are ESG management and accountability, ecological pillar of sustainability, energy and climate policy, sustainable finance, climate adaptation and resilience.
