The programme was delivered in two phases—an online component from 22 to 26 June 2026 and an in-person session at the European Investment Bank headquarters in Luxembourg from 27 June to 4 July 2026. The Summer School brings together students from partner universities and provides a unique opportunity to engage directly with experts from the EIB Group, representatives of European institutions, academia, and the business community.

The 2026 edition focused on topics related to Europe's sustainability and competitiveness, strategic autonomy, the green and digital transitions, and the role of the European Investment Bank in supporting sustainable economic growth.

Throughout the programme, participants attended lectures, panel discussions, practical workshops, and collaborative team projects. One of the highlights for the Faculty's representatives was the "Innovation and Competitiveness" panel, where Petar Yadkov had the opportunity to serve as moderator. The discussion featured Karl Nehammer, Vice-President of the European Investment Bank and former Federal Chancellor of Austria; Ioana Mihai, Head of Unit at EIC Investments; Donya Baghaie from the London School of Economics; and Anna Canato, Head of Youth Engagement at the EIB Institute.

The team in which Petar Yadkov participated during the online week of the programme received the award for the best team project. The in-person programme in Luxembourg also included meetings, networking events, and institutional visits, including a visit to the European Stability Mechanism.
