On July 16, 2025, the spring session of ESG Academy concluded successfully. The Academy is a joint initiative between the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and the Association of Sustainability Professionals (ASP). Certificates were awarded to participants by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev, Dean of the Faculty, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marina Stefanova, Vice-Dean.

The spring session featured updated content and the pilot launch of a new module on "Auditing".

“ESG Academy is a great example of successful collaboration between academia and business. I’m proud that our Faculty once again hosted this important initiative, which helps shape experts capable of integrating sustainability into the core of their organizations”, said Assoc. Prof. Georgiev.

“Your dedication to sustainable development and your desire to be part of the change are truly inspiring. I believe the knowledge you’ve gained will help you become even more effective and responsible leaders in your respective fields”, added Assoc. Prof. Stefanova during the graduation ceremony.

Participants shared that the program was “practical, timely, and well-structured” while the lecturers were described as “inspiring and engaging”. Special praise was given to the work on real-life case studies, in-depth discussions, and the opportunity to build new professional connections. Many graduates already plan to apply what they’ve learned in current or upcoming ESG initiatives within their organizations.

Enrollment for the fall 2025 session of ESG Academy begins on July 25.
