The speech will take place online on 24.11.2021, starting at 6 p.m. Sofia time. A link to the online event will follow in due course.

The speech is part of the events around FEBA’s Annual Conference and of our initiative Women in Finance to give the stage to successful female role models and their inspirational stories.

Following the speech, there will be a general discussion, where Prof. Schnabel will answer student questions regarding the Currency Union and Bulgaria’s adoption of the Euro and will give career advice for success in international finance. Other possible topics will include climate change and green finance, and ECB’s steps toward reducing gender inequality, discrimination and youth unemployment in the euro area.

In order to prepare better for the speech and discussion, Prof. Schnabel would like to learn more about our perceptions about the adoption of the Euro in Bulgaria and ECB’s monetary policy. Therefore, we kindly ask you to complete a very short survey until November 18 on the following link: Survey for Speech of Prof. Dr. Isabel Schnabel (Executive Board of ECB)

We are looking forward to Prof. Schnabel’s talk and a lively discussion.
